Here starts a new campaign. A campaign designed to get people talking about the things they do on a day-to-day basis to keep themselves well.
People do little things to support their health all the time, such as going for a short walk, meeting with friends, listening to music. Yet when life throws a curveball, people can very quickly feel isolated and vulnerable, creating a catalyst for people to start making unhealthy decisions such as drinking more alcohol, starting smoking again, or being less physically active.
Social media can also contribute to this. Much of social media is full of the things people want you to see. Instagram in-particular shows a perfect, filtered selfie image out of 100 takes; it shows somebody when they go for a skate with their friends, or on holiday having a great time; it portrays an image of a person that is often not in line with the full extent of their life.
This campaign is here to share the simple things that people do which help them face up to the difficult challenges in life; to share peoples honest opinions about what they enjoy, what they don't enjoy; all with the hope that it may show the reader that they are not alone with their worries and daily stresses, and that there are simple ways to improve health, resilience, and to keep people doing the things they love to do.
